What it the internet ran out of IP addresses? Well... it's already happeing! Well, it was, IPV6 launched today!
What is the difference?
ipv4: 192.0.2.1
ipv6: 2001:db8::1234:ace:6006:1e
Why is this so importent?
IPv4 Addresses concist of 4 numbers, each of 0-255, which can only support up to 4 billion addresses. It's alot, but not enough. IPv6 will support 340 trillion trillion trillion addresses!
Will this add protection?
No. It simly just expands the amount of devices the internet can handle.
